Conversations with Sophia Hyatt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Hyatt.

Hi Sophia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a passion for creating and telling stories through many different creative outlets such as dance, photography, and videography. When I was younger I would make lots of YouTube videos and do photoshoots with my friends. Around the time of graduated high school in 2022, I was figuring out what I wanted to do for a career and knew college wasn’t the right path for me.

I have always been very driven and entrepreneurial-minded from a young age. I was even working my way to be a professional dancer and then more opportunities for photography/videography came up more and more! So I started to turn it into a business after that and it has been such a blessing to be able to create for a living!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have really enjoyed the challenges of starting my own business and learning new skills! I love that I get to meet and work with new people all the time! It has been such a blessing to meet so many amazing people who are also very driven and creative.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a photographer/videographer and content creator! I offer a wide variety of photography and videography for events, seniors, business branding, content for social media platforms, interior design, weddings, engagements, family, maternity, and more.

I am known for being a reliable and positive person to work with! My goal is to put my clients at ease and bring their visions to life while being in a welcoming environment! I know it can be intimidating to be in front of a camera so I am here to guide you and make the process fun!

The experiences I have gotten have been a blessing and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I absolutely love West Michigan! We have such a lively downtown area and beautiful beaches! There’s truly something for everyone.
