Conversations with Shania Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shania Davis. 

Hi Shania, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in the “hood” from what people from the city call it, but I grew up in the area of brightmoor. When I was younger, I was very quiet and to myself. But that didn’t stop my mom from putting me in performing arts or being in the spotlight. From about 2 years old my mom would always tell me I was destined for greatness. Instilling in me that after high school, there is no other option but college. I graduated Valedictorian from Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in 2017. Following a long but worth it 4 year of college, pandemic and all! I graduated May 2021 from Albion College with a BA in Communication/Marketing. After I began to network through my social media becoming a Brand Ambassador for various companies in the states. Some of them, I get products to model in or commission from my personalized code to give to customers. This inspired me to want to branch out from doing small freelance as a teen to pursuing a modeling career. I am so close I can feel it. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No journey comes without a struggle. I didn’t come from a family with money. My parents worked so much I rarely was able to spend time with them. My life was kind of routine: school, after-school program homework home. The repetition of this and watching how hard my parents had to work saddened me. As an adult now, I realize they did what they had to do to provide for my sister and I. But they missed out on vital moments. So, in a way, our family connection isn’t as close as I would have liked it to be. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an upcoming influencer. I am known for rocking my natural hair wearing bright colors. I am also a really huge fitness freak, and I’m trying to transform other people’s lives the way I have mine. I have always been more of a leader, so my friends know I push them to do what creative hobby they love to do in their downtime. I am always here for new experiences and to learn.
