Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Metcalf

Hi Paige, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I was little, nothing excited me more than a camera. During middle school, I spent countless hours creating videos with friends and organizing backyard “photoshoots,” discovering my passion for visual storytelling. By high school, my interest in photography and videography evolved into a clear vision for my future, and I began to see photography and videography as more than just a hobby. This passion led me to Grand Valley State University, where I earned a degree in Film & Video Production with a minor in Photography. In 2021, I had the privilege of filming my first wedding—a transformative experience that solidified my love for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. Being entrusted with documenting such significant milestones and weaving them into timeless stories is what fuels my passion. Since then, I’ve launched my business, I’ve been fortunate to experience remarkable growth, working with clients across Michigan and throughout the United States. In 2025, I am excited to take my craft to an international level, expanding my storytelling journey across continents. Although my journey so far has exceeded my expectations, I am eager to embrace the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although every road has its bumps, I believe my path has been carved on a strong foundation of resilience and growth. When I was asked to film my first wedding, I had little idea what to expect. However, I dove head first into the wedding industry and just kept swimming. I started with determination and a willingness to learn. In those early years, I faced moments of doubt, questioning if this path was truly right for me. Over time, the connections I formed with clients, the friendships I built within the industry, and the deep fulfillment I discovered in storytelling reaffirmed my passion. Today, I know without a doubt that this is where I am meant to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer and videographer based in West Michigan, specializing in documentary-style storytelling. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build genuine connections with my clients. By fostering these relationships, I create a comfortable environment that makes being in front of the camera feel natural and effortless. I strive to build lifelong relationships with the people I work with, founded on trust, genuine connection, and shared moments that extend beyond the lens.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing that someone might not know about me just by looking at me is that I genuinely love to have fun, and I think it shines through in my work. I believe there’s a sweet spot between staying professional and enjoying what you do and I strive to embody that balance. When you’re having fun, it not only shows in the work but also in the relationships you make along the way. Why settle for boring when you can choose joy?
