Hi Nate, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Started as just an avid outdoorsmen. I wanted to find a way to help other people promote their outdoor activity’s. I decided to start an instagram page dedicated to Michigan outdoorsmen, i would post any picture sent in and asked local businesses if they would also like to be promoted on the page. The page got bigger and I now promote everyone on instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok. Its a journey that started 5 years ago and has only gotten bigger.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a social media page has its ups and downs. One, gaining followers can be hard at times along with trying to get constant engagement. I want to keep the viewer engaged and enjoying my post and content I put out there. My best way to keep people involved was starting to post other people’s successes they send in. Which is a great way to promote them but also get to meet new people.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Mitten Sportsmen is known for engaging with other Michigan hunters and fisherman. Sole purpose is to promote local businesses and hunters and fishermen alike.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Run almost everything through instagram and facebook at the moment.
