Today we’d like to introduce you to Leo Vazquez.

Hi Leo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. 
In 2003, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey in Michigan by establishing MTY Signs and Graphics. Our primary focus was on creating commercial signs and branding solutions. However, as we ventured into the food industry, we stumbled upon Outlaw Roasted Corn in 2020. This business quickly flourished, and we now proudly operate four locations in West Michigan. 

Inspired by our success, in 2022, I joined forces with three close friends to establish a new company dedicated to opening food-related ventures. Our first endeavor was Tacon Madre Restaurant, located in Wyoming. This establishment offers a delectable fusion of flavors, showcasing the best of Mexican cuisine. 

Building upon our passion for authentic Mexican food, we also introduced El Patio 616 Mexican Grill. Situated in Wyoming, this restaurant provides a vibrant and inviting atmosphere where patrons can indulge in a wide array of traditional dishes. 

Additionally, we opened Brandywine Restaurant in Grand Rapids, further expanding our culinary ventures. This establishment offers a diverse menu for breakfast. 

Through our collective efforts, we strive to bring unique and memorable dining experiences to the community. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to delivering exceptional quality and service in all our food-related ventures. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting and running a business is not always easy. Some of the challenges we faced included financial constraints, competition, hiring and retaining talent, scaling operations, adapting to technology, and dealing with regulations. However, we believe that overcoming these obstacles is part of the entrepreneurial journey and helps us grow and succeed.

Thanks to my extensive knowledge in marketing, I have successfully utilized it to my advantage in creating captivating concepts that encompass various aspects such as decoration, presentation, and more. These concepts have had a profound impact on our entire business, leaving a lasting impression. 

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most valuable insight I have gained is the significance of teamwork, the art of selecting the perfect individuals to join your organization, and mastering the art of keeping them inspired.
