Hi Lauren, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into the beauty industry started long before I became licensed. I’ve always had a deep passion for skincare and beauty, spending countless hours learning about different techniques, trends, and treatments. After completing my formal education and receiving my esthetician’s license over two years ago, I dove into the industry by opening my own business.

Being independent allowed me to shape my brand and services based on my vision. I started with lash extensions and slowly expanded into offering a range of skincare treatments, always staying focused on enhancing my clients’ natural beauty. Running my own business has been both challenging and rewarding, but I love having the freedom to offer personalized experiences. Every client is unique, and I’m always excited to work with them to bring out the best version of themselves. It’s that passion and the trust my clients place in me that keeps me motivated every day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Running a business is never a smooth road, even if it appears to be on the surface. In fact, one of the biggest challenges has been building my business while being a mom of three and living in a brand-new city, far from any family support. Moving to a new state meant starting from scratch, not only professionally but personally as well. I had to create new networks, both for my business and my personal life, without any of the built-in help or familiarity that comes with having family close by.

Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship is no easy feat. There were moments when I questioned if I could manage it all, especially when juggling clients and taking care of my children. But in a way, those challenges motivated me even more. I learned how to be resourceful, how to manage my time efficiently, and how to build a strong client base while still being present for my family. The road hasn’t been easy, but every struggle has taught me resilience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As an independent esthetician, I specialize in lash extensions and advanced skincare treatments, utilizing the latest technology to provide customized, effective solutions. Whether it’s helping a client achieve glowing skin through targeted treatments or perfecting their lash look, I believe in using the best techniques and tools available to deliver real, visible results.

I’m proud of the fact that my heart is truly in my work. I’m consistent, and I prioritize making sure my clients feel cared for and leave feeling their best. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. I’ve worked hard to create an environment where people feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. I know that beauty is as much about how you feel on the inside as it is about how you look on the outside, and I do my best to bridge that gap. What sets me apart is that personalized experience—every client is unique, and I take the time to understand their needs and make sure they walk out feeling like the best version of themselves.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality that I believe has been most crucial to my success is my drive and work ethic. From the beginning, I’ve approached my business with a mindset of not giving myself the option to fail. I’ve always been determined to push through challenges and stay focused on my goals.

I set high standards for myself, and I’m constantly striving to improve, both for my clients and for myself. That persistence and refusal to settle for anything less than success is what keeps me moving forward and achieving new milestones in my business.
