Conversations with Kimberly Bonner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Bonner. 

Hi Kimberly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello Readers I spent most of my adult life as a healthcare professional, I always had a passion for helping other, but I always wanted my own business. I went to a friend of mine Boyd Jones better known as BJ a business owner. I told him that I wanted to open my own business, I will never forget what he said: “open a business people need and repeat business”. I chose to became a Cert American Heart Association BLS INSTRUCTOR and open my own Business offering CPR/AED & FIRST AID to Healthcare Providers, Teachers, Nursing Students, Expecting Mothers & anyone that’s interested in the training. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think it was a smooth road for the most part, you have to step out on faith in any new journey in your life. The most challenging part of open a business is spending money on equipment and supplies without income coming in from the Business, so you are always hoping your business will be a success. 

But while I was purchasing the items I would need, I work on my marketing strategy, who needs what you are offering. I was already in the health field it was a good choice for me because I was able to connect with people before I was up and running. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For the last 31 years, I have be a Healthcare Providers working in Hospitals, Nursing Facilities, Homecare Agencies. I opened my Business 13 years ago and have thought thousands of people to help other people in emergency cases. I’ve done CPR 3 times all were successful, I’m very proud of that! What I’m most proud of is my mom became sick 3yrs ago and because of all my medical skills I was able to bring her home with me and nurse her back to health. What sets me apart from other is that I am very passionate about my Career, Business, and Family. 

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’ve always wanted to know more, curious about everything around me. I was blessed to have a positive attitude always wanted to do my best. I knew I would give a 100% in anything I was involve in. I see my cup as half full.
