Today we’d like to introduce you to Karley Foster

Hi Karley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am someone who loves to stay busy and active! I’ve always been into the arts, tech and danced all throughout my childhood.

My love for events and weddings came about in 2016. I was envolved in someone’s wedding whether it was as a hostess or bridesmaid.
Seeing the behind the scenes of an event turn into the final product was always satisfying for me. I loved the process!

Also growing up in the era of social media it put a huge influence on myself and my generation. Naturally being the first to really experience it’s evolving I grew to really enjoy consuming and creating content !

I decided to combine my two hobbies wedding/event coordination & content creation when I saw there was a need /want for content creation during events. Everyone wants something aesthetic/fun to post on social media especially when it comes down to those big events in life such as marriage. I had already started my own virtual assistant business the golden assist which catered to small business owners but this led me to focus on event/wedding content creation!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has been challenging when trying to stay consistent with marketing and networking. When doing it all on your own it can be overwhelming. Being in this field , you have to find what makes you different from other creators. Why would that make a client want to book me? How can I capture their attention? What makes me different?
Also constantly fighting that good ole imposter syndrome. But with every wedding/event I am learning, improving my skills, and building my confidence!

I began The Golden Assist in 2022 as a virtual assistant/social media manager business specializing in helping small businesses with administrative task. Within the last year I just rebranded to primarily offering wedding & event content services! It’s a new industry but definitely worth the investment! although I am good with the camera, I am not a replacement for your photographer/videographer but this is a additional luxury service.

My main goal is capturing raw/candid BTS footage with the client! Think of me as a personal paparazzi for the wedding day or event. Capturing your best moments!
A lot goes on during wedding day, so to remember everything you want to do, and making time to capture content can be complicated or not even happen. Having me as your designated Iphone photographer to catch those moments and really plan out those tiktoks you and your friends planned to do is a huge help and everyone can fully stay in the moment !

After wedding day within 24-48 hours My clients receive hundreds of raw/uncut/high quality photos via IPhone, 2+ fun choreographed TikTok/reels and a highlight reel of their day!

TikTok and reels are an all time high right now and to have a designated person for the day makes things go a lot smoother!It gives everyone something to look back on while waiting for your professionally edited photos!

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Being an only child My favorite childhood memory was always spending 1 on 1 time with my mom and dad. Whether with my mom, we’d spend a whole day shopping and ending the day at my favorite restaurant !. Or being with my dad, starting the day a with our favorite breakfast , then going to see whatever top movies were out. Clearly I love to shop, relax and eat.
