Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Pine. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Jenn’s Apartment is a rock power trio from Lansing, Michigan. They are known for their energetic and tight live shows, along with their tuneful, instantly memorable songs, big smiles, and friendly attitudes. Their guitar-driven sound would fit right at home on 90’s alternative radio or the early 2000’s Warped Tour while still sounding uniquely themselves. Anchored by former Michigan State drumline alum Justin Pine’s tight, energetic drumming, Chris Davis’ raw, active bass lines, and separated from the pop-punk pack by songwriter Roy Kirby’s lyrics about drug dealing, divorce, and didactic messages.
One of the hardest working bands in Lansing, Jenn’s Apartment embraces DIY aesthetics to the fullest, building their own studio and doing everything they do on their own terms.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like many musicians this day in age, money is always a factor. We invested money into building our own studio, we do our own marketing, run our website, print merchandise, all of which can total a large cost. We hold full-time jobs so making time to regularly rehearse, record, and perform can take a lot of time and energy out of you. The regularly struggles with life (bills, family loss, other various hardships) also can pose an obstacle to dedicate to being a regular musician.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

What’s next?
We will continue to tour, make music, and produce content as long as we are able to keep this band going. We have no plans of slowing down!
