Hi Jearmie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
How I got started, well music always been a part of me, my mom use to play music all day, from RnB to hip-hop I just always had an ear for music, my favorites are Tupac, Kendrick lamer, jayz, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Luda Chris, so many that inspire me to create music, I’ve a came a way just never giving up on myself, believing in me, pushing myself when it gets hard, me moving from Detroit to New York showed me you can you can make it anywhere if you just go for it! I went losing my first showcase to winning my next one, that’s just loving what I do and always tryna get better, we still got a long way to go we just getting started, but I will tell you this god don’t make no mistakes what is meant for you is meant for now go out and get it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a little bit of both, at the beginning it was rough being an independent artist, me doing everything by myself, promoting, marking, investing into my music but when I start to study the music industry, built great relationships with great people, that’s not scared to drop gems for an artist tryna make it, I learn that you have to put the work in nothing happens overnight, stick to process invest in yourself, so you can see yourself level up.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an artist I rap and sing, I create music like RnB, hip-hop, I also write music my music and Direct my music videos, I’m known for making good music, bring the crowd alive when I touch that stage, I just love to perform, I’m most proud a lot telling myself imma accomplice everything I set my goals on, getting on the radio in my own city 107.5 also New York, Pittsburgh, Boston, winning a showcase in Brooklyn, getting music to do numbers, what set me apart from everybody else is because I’m jcdapharaoh, my energy is different, my heart is big, I treat people how I wanna be treated, I work hard for everything in my life I’m a father that’s making a way for his twin daughters.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite time as a kid was being around family, the birthdays, the holidays, just being around people you love and that love you, but of course playing basketball every day was one fasho.
