Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay & Himani Patel

Hi Jay & Himani, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We got here today through our shared passion for traveling, creating content, and influencing others to get outside. One day, my wife, Himani, recognized the passion we both had for traveling and hiking, all while working 9-to-5 jobs. She suggested that we share our adventures and inspire others to do what we were doing. The next day, we launched Couple of Patels on Instagram, and the rest is history. What began as a way to share our travels and journey turned into something we became deeply passionate about. We found ourselves loving every part of it, from capturing content to connecting with our followers.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, Couple of Patels has never felt like work for us. Probably because we genuinely love sharing our adventures and helping people find the right adventure for their family. Even though we work really hard and face various challenges, we’ve embraced every part of this journey as something fun and exciting. As a result, we have been able to find our adventurous audience who supported us so much. Since influencer industry is still not standardized we are working hard to spread awareness about the power of influence.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Both of us work in IT, but we’re all about squeezing every bit of adventure into our lives after we finish our day jobs. We specialize in sharing our adventures through research backed itineraries. We are so proud about our work that has inspired people to live beyond their 9 to 5 and spend more time in nature. We have found hidden gems in midwest that people had never heard about. We give details regarding where to park, things to do, where to eat, where to stay and what to pack so people don’t have to worry about planning and researching. we don’t like gatekeeping anything and love to share everything that we can in order to make travel planning lot easier.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
We believe there are a few key factors driving our success. One is each other—we wouldn’t be able to achieve what we’re doing now without our teamwork. The second is our ‘why.’ Helping people find the right adventure is our ‘why,’ and that always will be. That alone is enough to keep us motivated. The third is consistency. We never stopped showing up for our community.
