Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello! My name is Heidi Caswell and I am the Owner and Creator of Loved! Loved is a brand that was created first and foremost to share my love and passion for vintage and sustainable clothing. I have been a collector of vintage clothing and designer wear since I was in high school in the early 2000s. My love for fashion continued throughout college, especially when I had an opportunity to spend a summer in NYC while interning for Burberry, one of my favorite high-end designers and brands! I spent all of my 20s and a few years in my 30s trying to find my footing in the corporate world, while raising my young family and doing what I could to continue to fuel my fire with fashion and decor in my spare time. After several years of stretching myself in all areas of my life, I decided it was time to slow down, refocus and pursue something that I loved! In 2022, the Loved Vintage Boutique officially launched as a traveling mobile boutique where I shared my love for vintage and thrifted fashion from inside a Vintage Horse Trailer. I had bought this trailer the year before while I was still working a busy career knowing that I would soon be gutting it and eventually turning it into a traveling micro shop. At this point in my journey, my passion came alive again and two years later Loved Vintage has turned into a Fashion Brand that I am very proud of! Loved has morphed into a Brand where I am able to share all kinds of fashion that I hand-pick for all my busy friends and family! I pride myself on being able to hand-pick the most unique vintage, thrifted and new pieces to fit anyone’s budget and unique sense of style! Loved now has 6 service lines and 4 of which are fully up and running and a couple more that are going to be launching in November 2024! Loved has a Private Showroom that you can now book in Owosso, Michigan, a Traveling Vintage Boutique that can pop-up at local markets and shows, a Public and Private Trucker Hat Bar, the option to hand-pick and create beautiful Style Box with new, trendy and sustainable clothing brands that ship right to your front door AND soon to launch Wardrobe and Closet Edits where I offer my styling expertise to my clients!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey to create and launch Loved has been a beautiful, messy and ever-changing adventure! The bumps along the way have helped guide me to where I am today with this business and within my personal life. Loved has been a dream of mine since I was very young! I knew that I wanted to own my own business someday and I knew I had a crazy obsession for unique fashion and trends, but I was not too sure how I would be able to start something while trying to raise and support my young and very busy family. Starting a business with a young family brings on a list of challenges, especially when it comes down to the time availability and flexibility. However, I realized that I have little people watching me and a very supportive husband and I was ready to take my dreams to the next level, even on those extra busy and challenging days. How could I give up on my dreams when I tell my children to follow their dreams? I believe that my commitment to launching and growing Loved has shown my kids that anything is possible when we want it bad enough and when we are willing to work hard enough for it. When I worked in the corporate world, I often felt like I was not showing up for myself and my family the way I wanted. Although, starting a business also stretches you in ways you didn’t know were possible – every single moment to starting and growing Loved has been worth it in my eyes. I spend a lot of time committing myself to my business now, but I have the flexibility to show up for my family exactly the way that I always dreamed I would be able to.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the Owner and Creator of Loved and currently the only employee at this time! Loved is a Brand that has been built on finding ways to dress and live authentically! My mission here at Loved has always been to create an environment that people enjoy, while simultaneously exuding confidence, excitement and ease around fashion and styling! I want my clients to shop with me, whether its for vintage, thrifted or new clothing, at a pop-up event, hat bars or during styling edits, and I want them to leave happier and more confident than when they arrived! At Loved, I offer handpicked fashion for the busy person! I collect and curate unique collections for you to shop and I make sure that there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. I believe that you can wear whatever makes you the most happy, no matter where you live, no matter your size or your budget! Loved was founded on the belief that fashion is meant to be fun and exciting and I am here to help you find just that when you shop with Loved. We truly pride ourselves on finding the most unique clothing at an affordable price because I want everyone to look and feel their best. Loved has styling services and unique shopping experience offerings that are like no other businesses in the area. I am so proud of what Loved has brought to my little rural community and into my personal life. I hope at some point that I am able to help other fashion lovers find their next unique piece of clothing or maybe a little extra style confidence too!

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the small-town, rural atmosphere that the Corunna/Owosso area offers! Our small knit community does a wonderful job at keeping these communities looking and feeling beautiful, quaint and safe! We have the sweetest little shops, businesses, restaurants and unique offerings in our community and I am always so proud to live where I live! My hope is that Loved is able to make a small stamp on the community and help the members see that we can all dress beautifully, confidently and as authentically as we would like no matter where we choose to live! Fashion is meant to be fun and exciting and Loved is ready to make your wardrobes feel just that!
