Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle Brousseau.
Hi Elle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hey! Elle here! What a wild ride that I’ve been on these last 15 years.
I still cannot wrap my mind around my origin photog story… complimented on my photography skills, on Myspace, while using nothing but a Razer flip phone. I aged myself right there, didn’t I?
The sweetest soul reached out to me, in early 2010, promising to purchase me a camera and lens’, in exchange for capturing their little wedding. ‘Ah, yes please!’ 20-year-old, single mom, me, was ALL about this deal.
Fast forward, over 15 years later, I am here. Well-seasoned wedding photographer, mentor, country-traveler, and creator of magic in now 29 states and counting.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It took 8 years to go full-time with my business, photographers weren’t willing to help in the 2010’s, as much as they are now. A lot of tears shed, money wasted, and hundreds of presets tried and pitched.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Full-time Wedding Photographer now, heading into my 16th year, Sweet 16, if I may. I quickly became known for weddings, with so many dashes of couples, boudoir, seniors, milestones, and nearly 8 years of mentoring other photographers now.
I am most proud of my growth, perseverance, and never giving up on my passion and business for the greatest good for my 3 kiddos and I.
What makes you happy?
Freedom, honestly. Working 1-2 days a week outside of the home is sooo important for me. As I homeschool my kiddos and live in my RV fulltime. The freedom that comes from this career was well-worth the push, the struggles, and the drive to get myself to this point.
