Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie “Wolvarine Solid X” Johnson.
Hi Eddie “Wolvarine Solid X”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a underground hip-hop artist and filmaker from Detroit Michigan. I graduated from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor back in 2004. My current film “The Ride To Heaven” on Amazon Prime and Tubi has won 11 film festivals thus far. My new film “Justice” will be on the streaming services in the next few months. I am hoping to finally work with marvel comics on my superhero TV show “The Son of Wolverine and Storm” and also create fresh new films for a major streaming service or Movie production company. My last hip-hop album “Holly Wolv” is on my YouTube channel wolvarinesolidx and I have multiple singles out on all streaming services where you can hear my music.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have lost a lot of my family members and friends during my journey of music and film making. I recently lost my grandmother Willie A. Watson, my cousin Anthony Jackson and my Uncle Doward Smith. They all passed away this year a few weeks apart. I have strong faith in God Jesus Christ 🙏 and he will make a way through these tough times!!!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My music is very creative along with my films. I am very good at coming up with brand new ideas and making sure that all my cast members are happy. I take my time filming and due to everyone scheduled being all over the place I only film 1 or 2 scenes a week. It usually takes me about 5 to 6 months to make a film or TV show. But it’s most definitely worth it
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Reading the Bible, comic books, and watching films make me happy. I love to read and having my mind stay in the creative zone.
