Today we’d like to introduce you to Devanté Coleman

Hi DeVanté, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I own a start up catering business name D’Lish and also I’m a professional singer that goes by DeShawn Cole. I’ve been doing music for years and I’ve been cooking for 10 years. I have three songs that are out on all social media platforms and music outlets so be on the lookout for anything else for DeShawn Cole. My cooking business is doing good, right now I just sell out my home and working to build up my business and clientele.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggles I’ve faced were paying for everything out of pocket. May 6, 2023 I suffered from two seizures from a tumor in the brain which lead me to become unemployed for a while. Thankfully the mass went away on its on without any surgery needed and I’m glad to be back on my feet.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own a food business called “D’Lish LLC” and right now I only cook from out of home and I would love to work as full service catering weddings, parties, funerals etc. My goal is to cook for someone that’s Detroit famous and achievement would be to have 3 restaurants in different states and 3 food trucks operating at one time. I also sing, my music name is “DeShawn Cole” I have 3 songs out right now; If You Let Me, Take Back & Woman Like You. I wrote all my music and will be having an Ep out “Emotions Of A Cancer EP” will be set to release soon. I haven’t performed yet but, will be setting up some dates real soon. My dream is to be signed to a label and work with some of the best artists, musicians, and producers in the industry. I would be ecstatic to be the youngest EGOT winner. I will get there.

Any big plans?
My future plans are to have everything I set my mind to flourish, longevity in the music industry also in the food industry.
