Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Bakkal.
Hi Cynthia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into content creation started with a strong creative drive and a desire to work in a hands-on, creative role. That dream became a reality when I attended an esthetics program, where I began documenting my experience and creating beauty content, which continued as I worked in the esthetics field.
As I moved into HR and administrative roles, I stayed creatively involved through Canva design and social media support work while exploring a path toward corporate marketing. When that direction didn’t progress, I decided to pivot and begin freelancing as a social media creator, to fully focus on content creation. Taking that leap was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Sometimes I wish I pursued this sooner, but I believe it happened at exactly the right time!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, it has been a smooth road for me because I truly enjoy what I do. While the work is rewarding, success does not happen without a tremendous amount of consistency, and dedication behind the scenes. There is no single path to success and no exact formula that guarantees results. One of the biggest challenges is learning to trust yourself and stay committed to your goals, because growth takes time. You have to be a confident self-starter to work in this field and remain focused on your own journey.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work focuses on content creation and food photography for local businesses and brands. I specialize in food and travel and am best known for my Disney and Universal Studios content, which helped me launch my social media platforms, Belle of the Banquet. I also have several creative projects in the works and look forward to sharing those in the future!
I am most proud of staying focused on my own path. When people can see your passion, love for what you do, and genuine intentions through your content, the opportunities will follow. I trust myself to keep showing up, and continue putting my heart into everything I do.
What sets me apart is my perseverance and determination to continue growing through every stage of this journey. I trust in my talents and my work ethic, and I do not let outside opinions define what is possible for me. I believe in my ability to achieve my goals, and I will continue moving forward with confidence and purpose.
What matters most to you?
Ultimately, continuing to build a beautiful, peaceful life with my husband, surrounded by family and friends, good food, opportunities to experience the beauty of the world God created, and lots of laughter. Does making money and achieving success provide opportunities, security, and the ability to pursue your passions? Yes, but at the end of the day, it’s the memories we create, and the joy we get to share with loved ones that make life truly rich.
