Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradley Miles.
Hi Bradley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been part of the local music scene for quite some time and had been toying around with the idea of starting a punk band based around my favorite movie (Ghostbusters). I eventually found the right musicians that were actually interested in what I was looking to do. We’ve become pretty popular at least locally for being together for such a short period of time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fairly smooth. We had some small lineup changes at first but the current lineup has been around basically from the start. Getting to the point where we were ready to play shows took a minute but we had a lot of encouragement from other local groups. Scheduling practice is a bit of a struggle but that’s pretty common for a lot of bands.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My main job is Backfill Technician for one of the local mines. I have a lot of experience with systems control so I’ve been able to make a lot of positive change in the department for only being with the company for such a short period of time. It’s nice to know my hard work and skills are recognized and appreciated.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just do the thing. It might seem weird to other people, but if you love it do it. There’s no time like the present!
