Hi AJ , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started the company by channeling my focus on music and kept on that path. I am classically trained in different instruments and like the engineering part of producing the music with live sound reinforcement. It took over 20 years to get where I am today from serving in the US Navy, to mastering martial arts, and living now full time as a DJ/MC.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The only easy day was yesterday. I have taken many roads that teach you the only road to take is the one you make yourself. 1 struggle would be overcoming the stress of being a superstar one minute, and then hearing nothing for weeks or months, and then going back to being a superstar in the summer.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a song producer and write, sing, drum, jam on the guitar. I have many years of formal training and have released a couple rock/metal albums with a focus now on beatmaking, I am known for stage presence, building up the dance floor, and original mashups of hit song requests with my own style. I am proud of the fact that I have so many fans that enjoy having fun at the events I perform at.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Read books about things you like. Take lessons from people who do things you like to do. Come up with some ideas and see what works. Be who you say you are going to be.
