So Think Rich Originally Started Down South..I Received My Bachelor’s In Business At Jackson State University & I Ended Falling In Love With The City & The People So I Moved Back in 2015 about a Year After Graduating For About 8 Years…I Ended Up Building Connections Down There Through Music So Majority Of Those Years I Was There I Was Actually Pursuing Music…Then As I Started To Grow Desires Started Changing & I Heard The Name Think Rich In 2020 Sitting In My Living Room… I’m Like Ok God I Can See That On A Shirt Or Something & The Same Gift Of Words That I Use With Rap I Can Take It & Design It On My Garments. It Was Up After That I Been In Full Pursuit Ever Since.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely Not Lol…This Has Been One Of The Hardest Journeys I’ve Ever Been On Man…Its Been Challenging Me In Every Way Possible… Funding The Business Out Of Pocket Is Stressful…You Building The Brand & In The Early Stages Celebrities & Influencers Hitting You For Free Merch So Of Course You Have To Weigh & Sacrifice What You Can To Grow The Brand..It Can’t Be Just About Money It Gotta Be Purpose In It..I’ve Definitely Cried More Than I’ve Celebrated But Thats The Process I Know In Due season Its All Coming Back Forsure.
As you know, we’re big fans of ThinkRichBrand. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am A brand owner from Detroit Michigan. Born and raised by a single mother of 3 growing up in Detroit the experiences and hardships we faced really molded me into the person I am today. Catching buses back and forth and walking miles to school in snow losing our home and car and having to move in with my grandfather those days created a hunger in me…I knew there had to be more and I wanted more for us so even at an early age I was on a hunt for better. Rapping is apart of me because it allowed me to express the pains I experienced in a positive way and it also helped me heal because I was also manifesting in my music. So Im most proud of making to the other side of those hard times me and my family…We still got a little ways to go but were not stuck how I felt we were when I was younger. So Now I specialize in shifting mindsets…Your Thoughts make your world is my motto..A lot of people only focus on what they speak which I get because if you were raised in church you always hear the scripture death and life is in the power of the tongue and this is very true however your thoughts are where it starts…You can be saying something totally opposite of what you believe and that means the energy your supposed to have towards believing is not present and after a while of not seeing that thing you’ll give up…No your thoughts are the most important let them shape you start believing and meditating on your thoughts the words are going to follow. So we offer pieces that remind you to do that…
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Helping People Matters the most to me…I remember when I was younger just hoping for someone to come save us from standing at them bus stops in that snow..and even on a Christmas when mom wasn’t able to put nothing under that tree for us..Now me and my sister were a bit older not too old for it not to hurt but old enough to understand..My brother on the other hand is the youngest and so he had to understand at an age that wasn’t fair and I don’t think I will ever forget it…In my mind Im like oh this will never happen to us again…My goal with Gods help is to one day be able to give hope to another family that may be experiencing some of the things we did…If God would have answered my prayers when I was 10 and 11 for better for my family I know it would have shaped a different version of me but now that Im older I can understand through me he can answer someone else’s…And also the goal is to help shift minds…No one wants to always need help or a handout that it also what Think Rich is set out to accomplish…Shifting mindsets there is to much out here for you to allow your thoughts to keep you stagnant. Think Your way out of that thing and then pay it forward.
