Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Faraj.
Hi Tony, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 1991 our family began the journey from Iraq to the U.S. It was anything but easy. The challenges of learning a new language and adapting to society was not light. Like many immigrants, the drive was the pursuit of the American Dream.
My passion for owning my own business started as a young kid. I grew up watching my father work 3 jobs to provide for our family. After several years of hard work and time spent away from His family, he set out to start his own business which would create more freedom in his schedule. I understood the hard work it would take to own and run a business, but like my father, I was looking forward to the freedom it would allow me to be present with my family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest obstacles was fear. I always questioned if I was prepared or educated enough. I was afraid of failing.
