Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia ‘Queen’ Banks.
Hi Tia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Queen Butterflies LLC was created actually before 2017, but that’s when it became registered. The name came to when I was brainstorming names, and I have always wanted my brand to be based off my love for family. I have always called my grandmother my butterfly, so when she past in 2009, I decided to take my nickname Queen and added Butterflies. Butterflies and humans go through the same stages in life, and a Queen protects, helps, and love on people. So that’s how the name came about, but it originally was supposed to be a nursing home of some sort to assist people in a nursing setting. However, when my mother past in 2019, I decided to change everything up. I can still help people but in a different way. So, I decided to take the paperwork experience that I have and turn it into helping people start on their journey of whatever their dream is; whether they want a new job or start their own business; I’m here to help. December of 2019 Queen Butterflies LLC started Adopt a Family and Adopt a Senior where every year, I randomly pick so many people from the applications and select them to be adopted. I single-handedly go and pick out gifts very close to what they ask for and delivery them to the applicants before Christmas Eve. We also feed the homeless and do food giveaways within the community. Now people know my brand, and that allowed my to form two more brands under this one.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, there was never a smooth road. I tell all entrepreneurs that there are going to be good days and bad days where you will make a bunch of money and sell out, and then there will be times that you will not make a dollar. You can prepare yourself by having more than one stream of income to help offset expenses and emergencies. Depending on what you are doing, sometimes the supplier can hold you back, so make sure you are effectively communicate with your customers. We’ve been impressed with Queen Butterflies LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Queen Butterflies LLC is your paperwork pusher. I help people with resumes and cover letters, contracts, traveling notary, creating LLC, and trademarking. I want people to live their dreams, so if I can assist with that I will. What sets me apart from others is that I does all the services after hours when the regular people are asleep. I’m proud of the accomplishments that came from my brand; not only was I able to help others achieve their dreams, but I’m continuing to grow my dreams as well because I then started Voicing with Queen, which is blog/ podcast now, which is under the umbrella of Queen Butterflies. Voicing with Queen is focus on helping people and their brand to get recognition. I also wrote and published my book under my brand. My brand is always here to assist people when it matters the most in so many different areas.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The characteristic that I feel that is most important to my success is my warm-hearted loving heart. I have help so many people in my life and didn’t feel appreciated, but helping people that’s not close to you makes it more rewarding because of the gratitude that one gives you in return.
