Community Highlights: Meet Tanner Gould of Seven Lakes Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanner Gould.

Hi Tanner, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Thank you Voyage for having me! I was born and raised in Southeast Michigan. Before launching my photo/video company, Seven Lakes Productions, I had previously been an actor for TV/film and commercial work. With that, I was fortunately able to transition to the other side of the camera more smoothly and began taking my business more seriously. The knowledge that I have gained from working in film has more than prepared me for the work I am doing today, and I’m very blessed to have had that 10-year experience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve had a few challenges to overcome but overall it’s been an incredible experience. I’ve enjoyed the process of building and most importantly the people I’ve been able to meet from it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we should we know?
Seven Lakes Productions focuses mainly on Portrait and Headshot photography. My portrait work portfolio includes models, senior pictures, engagements, branding photography for business owners, headshots for companies, family photos, birthday shoots and weddings. My video portfolio also includes weddings, athletes, promotional, interviews, and events. I like to capture behind the scenes style shots with a GoPro as well. I believe it puts things into perspective of how exciting shoots can be and how different interactions go with each person. When you book with me, I want each photoshoot to be a positive and personal experience.

Any big plans?
As far as future plans, I am always looking to grow in any way I see best for my company. I’ve been focusing more on commercial work and content creating for growth. Other than that, I enjoy the direction Seven Lakes is headed, and I’m going to continue down this path as I continue to branch out to new people. Most importantly, I want to brand Seven Lakes as a trustworthy name that clients can depend on for results they can be proud of.
