Community Highlights: Meet Sa’Veya Jackson of Exploring Bath Bombs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sa’Veya Jackson. 

Hi Sa’Veya , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
April 2018 my mom told me take a break from my electronics & write about something I love. I decided to write about my love for bath bombs. I didn’t know my story was just that good my mom asked me if I wanted to get it published. I didn’t think it was possible I was only 8yrs old! Well, she proved me wrong on my 9th birthday August 17, 2018, I had my first book launch! Few months later, so many good things started to happen. I got a brilliant idea after knowing few of my customers didn’t know what a bath Bomb was, So I turned my book into a business selling DIY bath Bomb kits & organic bath Bombs with my book included; my book was available in all local libraries, I had many news interviews tv, radio & magazine articles and invited to numerous pop-up shops including Readers Association, Women’s Expo, etc. Fast Forward my two-year anniversary, I released three more books based around bath Bombs, two free bath Bomb gaming apps on Google play, added men/boy bath bombs to my product line. I have two more items I can’t mention because it’s top secret, and I’ll need help funding because I will be the first kid to do it. Now today, I’m working on releasing S.T.R.E.A.M kits to the elementary schools in my community as well as all over Michigan, and then I’ll work on all over the world. This specific kit will include my published book and all the ingredients to make a bath bomb, and the class has to take notes and find how bath bombs are based around Science, Technology, Education, Art, Math. The students should have fun with this project but still learn. I really hope to find funding for this project as well because students deserve to have a little stress-free day sometimes. As a kid, I know you have to trick kids to learn while they are having fun so we don’t think it’s work lol. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all! Having to speak to customers about my product and getting rejected/ignored, I really have wanted to give up sometimes, it’s discouraging for me as a kid. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Exploring Bath Bombs?
Besides my mom and my sister, I need a team that can help my business take off to the next level. I’ve been in business for 4yrs now, and I should be a lot farther in my business, but I don’t have the resources. I specialize in bath Bombs, and that’s what I’m known for. My business sets me apart because I’m a young kidprenuer with unlimited ideas that just maybe an investor can find me to be a golden prize. I’m most proud that my business donates all the time. During the pandemic, I donated organic bath Bombs to local hospitals, children’s cancer hospitals, medical offices, New York hospitals, to name a few. I want my readers to know 10% proceeds of all sales will be donated to nonprofit organizations as my business begin to grow but as of now Exploring Bath Bombs is open for any partnership, funding, or even a team that sees any potential in my business as a 13yr old kidprenuer. 

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
My business will most definitely continue to expand. Not only that it’s a household product, but it’s a learning tool as well. The big shift will be by me my top-secret idea that I can’t mention. I’ll set the new trend.
