Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Allbee.
Hi Sarah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our beautiful property has been in our family for decades and was a childhood home. In 2019 everything changed when we lost our father, who resided there. The cleanup took several years, but in 2024 we decided it was time to give it a purpose again. Starting out as a completely rustic glamping experience for one summer soon sparked the idea of unique structures and an experience in our small community that needed to exist. 2025 was an entire year of preparations, construction, and building our brand to eventually open our doors as a micro resort, offering private dome tent getaways with all the 5 star amentities.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The planning was meticulous and took us most of the winter of 2025 to map out our business plan. Everything sounds better on paper! When we rolled up our sleeves and began to dive in, we of course hit several snags in the process. constructing buildings and structures we have never built before and doing it completely on our own, we of course had a lot of trial and error. To top it off my husband and I both have full time jobs that are completely necessary for funding and 2 very active athletes at home, so our entire 2025 was late nights and early mornings 7 days a week.

Allbee Acres isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience. We offer a unique place to retreat, relax, unwind, and connect with nature for couples and families. Each guest is important to us and their experience brings as much joy to us as owners. We offer a glamping experience with all the comforts of a hotel, but with a private, beautiful, and peaceful setting in the woods. We offer short term stays but our future phases include small events, weddings, and community events. What makes us different is the heart behind it. Our guests are all as equally important to us and we make sure they know it. This property is special and so beautiful, it means the world to us to share it.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Growing up in a small town, you know everyone, but the way our community, friends and family have come together to help our vision come to life, has been such a blessing. They say it takes a village, and our Village of Farwell is special. Local electricians (Drew Pipes), plumbers (Dan Kelly K&K Plumbing), our local hardware store (Palmers Hardware), photographers (Phillip Hale and Melisa Cousineau), countless friends and family lending a hand has really relieved some of the stress of the challenges we faced. Our kids! Wow did our kids really show up! Our son Keaton, was a huge part of building both structures, and our 3 daughters spent countless days and late nights doing anything we needed from painting to hauling material.
