Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Total Security started in my garage with a simple mission: helping people protect themselves and the people they care about. In the beginning, we focused primarily on self-defense and CPL classes, but over time, the business continued to grow through hard work, trust, and word of mouth.
As the needs of our clients expanded, so did we. What started as a small operation has grown into a full-service security company that now provides a wide range of solutions for homes, businesses, and individuals. It’s been a journey of steady growth, learning, and adapting – and I’m proud of how far we’ve come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business, it definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been finding a healthy work-life balance while trying to grow something meaningful. When you care deeply about what you’re building, it can be hard to step away from it.
Another big lesson has been learning how to delegate and trust others with important parts of the business. As we’ve grown, I’ve also put a lot of value into building a workplace culture that feels like family – a place where people feel supported, respected, and proud to be part of what we do. That’s something that takes intention, and it’s been one of the most important parts of the journey.
