Community Highlights: Meet Renee Bey of Party with a Tee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Bey.

Hi Renee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
When I was about ten years old, my mother told me that when she was pregnant with me, it was prophesied that I would be a CEO. I just felt in my heart that the prophecy would come true one day, and it did! I truly believe that I was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and a genuine love for helping others. I hosted my first back-to-school community event in August 2019, unaware that it was leading up to my destiny. During that community event, children had an opportunity to tie-dye T-shirts. I will never forget the smiles and the joy on the children’s faces during the tie-dye activity. A few days after the community event ended, I had a vision of children expressing creativity through art and design on T-shirts. The vision led to the start of my business. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, but I have been very grateful and blessed during this journey. Since opening my business in November 2022, there have been struggles with marketing the business and making people aware that it exists. However, slowly but surely, the community is finding out about the company and what it stands for and has been very supportive.

Party with a Tee hosts T-shirt painting social events that provide an opportunity for kids and adults to relax and unleash their creative side while painting a work of art! The company also offers apparel, event space rentals for small gatherings, and arts and crafts products. To support the community, several community events will be held each year. 

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a very inquisitive, ambitious, and caring child. I always wanted to learn and know more and had a strong desire to be successful. I have always had an interest in becoming a CEO and being a resource to the community. I am elated that my dreams and vision have come true.
