Ramsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Aqaba Digital in 2004 with a pretty simple goal: help businesses grow by building marketing and technology that actually performs, not just looks good. I’ve always been drawn to the “why” behind performance, what makes people take action, what makes systems scale, and how data can turn guesswork into repeatable results, so my work naturally sat at the intersection of strategy, UX, and engineering.

Over the years, that focus shaped the agency into what it is today: a digital strategy and modernization partner for mostly B2B SMBs, turning Websites and Google Ads into Measurable Revenue Systems for SMB, Mid-Market and B2B Companies, often in complex, regulated, or operationally heavy industries like healthcare,
manufacturing, logistics, fintech, and government. We do everything from digital roadmaps and conversion-focused UX to web development, SEO/PPC, automation, and analytics, because in my experience, the best outcomes happen when the strategy and the execution are connected.

As we grew, I built a team (now 17 total, with a core full-time group) and a delivery process that starts with clarity: we begin engagements by digging into the client’s data, personas, and goals, then producing requirements and a roadmap before we allocate the right specialists. That structure, combined with a “white glove” mindset and being very accountable to results, has driven strong retention and long-term relationships.

Today, I’m the Founder and Chief Architect, which means I’m still hands-on where it matters most: setting direction, solving the hard problems, and making sure what we ship is measurable and aligned to the client’s business. The through-line from day one to now is the same: be practical, be data-driven, and build systems that create real ROI.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The Great Recession of 2008 and the Covid recession of 2020. I nearly lost my business in each instance. In 2010, my business sat nearly a year without any new business, significantly impacting small businesses through restricted credit access, weak demand, and high economic uncertainty.

As you know, we’re big fans of Aqaba Digital. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Aqaba Digital is a marketing and advertising firm I founded in 2004, headquartered in Clarkston, Michigan. We partner primarily with B2B SMBs and the MidMarket, often in complex industries like healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, fintech, government, and automotive, who need measurable growth and a modern digital foundation to support it.

What we do
We help organizations connect strategy to execution across the full customer journey. Our core work typically includes:
