Hi Michelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My Story: From Loss to Leadership, Vision, and Purpose
My journey has been anything but linear. I’ve built businesses, closed chapters, and reinvented myself more times than I can count. But if I had to distill it down to one theme, it would be this: resilience, reinvention, and alignment.
I spent years in the mortgage industry, founding Paradise Mortgage in 2018 and growing it into a successful company. I thrived in that world—networking, closing deals, and making an impact. But in 2023, my world shifted in a way I could never have prepared for. I lost my son, Dylan, and in that moment, everything I had built no longer felt aligned. I made the difficult decision to close my company and step into a period of deep reflection.
In the midst of that grief, something unexpected happened—I rediscovered me. The version of me that was always drawn to inspiration, leadership, and helping others transform their own lives. I started writing, speaking, and reconnecting with my deeper purpose. That’s when Dweewoo was born—an idea rooted in Dylan’s legacy, blending creativity, inspiration, and impact. It’s also when I began stepping into coaching, speaking, and personal brand-building, knowing that my story could serve as a guide for others navigating their own transformations.
Today, I wear many hats—entrepreneur, speaker, coach, and visionary. My work spans multiple spaces:
✔ Mortgage & Finance – I still help people access homeownership through Align Lending.
✔ Inspiration & Coaching – I host transformational sessions like my 90-Minute Reset to help people break through mental blocks and shift their energy.
✔ Speaking & Personal Brand – I’m building my platform to inspire and empower at a larger scale.
✔ Dweewoo – A movement that started with Dylan’s words but has become so much more—blending inspiration, products, and impact.
I’ve learned that life isn’t about clinging to identities that no longer fit. It’s about listening to where you’re being called next and having the courage to follow that pull. Every challenge, loss, and reinvention has shaped me, and I know my journey is still unfolding.
And that’s the message I want to share: Your story is still being written. You have the power to turn the page and start a new chapter at any moment.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles & Challenges: The Road to Reinvention
Smooth? Not at all. My journey has been a series of highs, lows, and unexpected turns—each one pushing me to grow in ways I never anticipated.
One of the biggest challenges was losing my son, Dylan, in 2023. There is no roadmap for navigating that kind of grief. It forced me to completely reassess my life, my business, and my purpose. I had built a successful mortgage company, but suddenly, it no longer aligned with who I was becoming. The hardest decision I ever made was closing it, walking away from financial stability, and stepping into the unknown.
Beyond that, I’ve faced many of the struggles that come with reinvention:
Letting go of old identities—after being known as a mortgage expert for years, stepping into speaking, coaching, and brand-building felt like starting over.
Financial uncertainty—shifting careers meant rebuilding, which wasn’t easy after years of financial success.
Battling self-doubt—even though I knew I was meant for more, there were moments when I questioned whether I was making the right moves.
Navigating loss & resilience—losing homes, relationships, and parts of myself along the way forced me to find strength in places I didn’t even know existed.
Despite it all, every challenge became a stepping stone. Loss taught me clarity. Reinvention taught me courage. Uncertainty taught me trust.
The road has been anything but smooth, but I wouldn’t trade the journey. Every setback refined me, and today, I stand more aligned, powerful, and purpose-driven than ever. That’s the message I carry forward: even in the hardest moments, there is always a path to something greater.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Lessons Learned: Trusting the Process & Stepping into Your Power
The most important lesson I’ve learned on my journey is this: You are always being guided, even when it feels like everything is falling apart.
For so long, I thought success was about strategy, effort, and pushing through. And while action matters, I’ve realized that the real shift happens when you learn to trust yourself, trust the process, and stop waiting for permission to step into your power.
I’ve learned that:
Loss doesn’t define you—it refines you. Every setback, whether personal or professional, was a redirection toward something greater.
You don’t have to “prove” yourself to be worthy of what you desire. The moment I stopped seeking external validation and started fully owning my gifts, doors opened in ways I couldn’t have planned.
Alignment is everything. If something feels forced, draining, or out of sync, it’s not for you. The things meant for you will flow—but you have to be brave enough to let go of what no longer fits.
At the core of it all, I’ve learned that you don’t have to wait for the right moment—the moment becomes right when you decide to step into it.
