Community Highlights: Meet Lex Cali Rose of Whealthy Person

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lex Cali Rose.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Whealthy Person was originally going to be a health and wellness-based brand. I previously owned another media publication called “Taco Picasso” and after 4 years of operating that, I decided to close up shop and start fresh under a different name. I wanted to focus more on wellness.

Naturally, I found myself itching to get back in some kind of studio – whether it was for photography or being on air. I decided to try again with operating a Media Agency, but this time more structured and with more direction. Ever since then, I’ve been having the time of my life learning as much as I can about business and media through Whealthy Person.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It was a tough decision to rebrand Taco Picasso. My personality and interests were changing, and the brand was changing with it. Not to mention all the trauma that came with the pandemic. We started our brand completely over from scratch, and I was worried that our previous followers would get confused or lose interest.

I’d become a homebody from social distancing and at times didn’t feel like leaving the house to network. I knew this would eventually become problematic because I’m the leader of this company, and the state of it really depends on me. At some point, I had to make the decision to get up and go after everything I’ve been trying to build. It’s an ongoing process, but I’m falling in love with it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Whealthy Person?
Whealthy Person LLC is a Detroit-based digital media and music agency. In other words, we use creativity to help tell stories and provide entertainment. We offer social media management, graphic design, and photography services for musicians, content creators, and small creative brands.

We also release music charts on Spotify and Apple Music through our sub-brand, Whealthy Radio. In 2022, we look forward to releasing our podcast to help promote local artists and celebrate music culture, as well as being an asset to the community for current events.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
In my opinion, success is happiness. For me, that looks like being in tune with God, because that’s the only way we’ll ever achieve true success. I chose to name this brand “Whealthy Person” because we really want to encourage people to operate as their best selves.

Your business can have the best graphics and visuals, make millions in profit, and have tons of followers, but none of that matters if you aren’t right within. I believe that supreme wealth comes from being in good health, and I want to illustrate that in a lot of different ways from the people we work with to the music we consume.
