Hi, I’m Kelsey — I’m a metro Detroit mama of two that owns and operates Small Batch Social Co.
Officially “born” in 2020, we are a social media marketing + strategy boutique based in Detroit and working with brands nationwide. We’re female-led, delivering intentional, custom-crafted social media solutions that drive awareness, boost engagement, and convert to new conversations + sales for small-to-medium-sized lifestyle brands.
I possess 12+ years of professional experience in PR, Marketing, Events, and Social (before Instagram was even a thing – yup!). I’ve worked with brands including Groupon, Top Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Eataly, Mountain Dew, and dozens more across the luxury lifestyle, hospitality, + travel industries. One of my proudest biz moments is winning a PRWeek Award for Social Media Campaign of the Year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I will say that entrepreneurship is not something I ever thought I’d want to do! In fact, I was vehemently opposed to the idea of having to run my own business in my 20s. However, as I got older, I also became vehemently opposed to working in toxic corporate culture! The biggest challenge for me is the financial side of things, as that isn’t my strong suit. Thankfully, I have had help along the way from family as well as business coaches that I’ve invested in. Running your own business is a constant learning and growth process, but SO rewarding!

What makes you happy?
So many things… so here’s a few:
– Being a MOM! I struggled with fertility for years and having my kids to hug and squeeze is something I never take lightly.
– Coffee: I have only recently in the past few years re-ignited my love for coffee and can often be found changing what my “favorite” version is!
– My bed – like Drake said, I only love my mom and my bed, I’m sorry. I mean, same.
