Community Highlights: Meet Kelly Norona of Kelly’s Photo Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Norona. 

Hi Kelly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in high school I went part-time to South Plantation High and the other time I was at Mcfatter Vocational school learning commercial photography. I graduated both and started working with models from Next agencies, Karen agency in Miami. Did Fashion week in New York for Desarni Collection in 2003. 

When I wasn’t working in Fashion, I was working events. Photographing artist like DJ Khalid, Common, Tony Touch, KRs One and Guru, etc. 

In the present time, I’m working with realtors for headshots or property, weddings, artist, models, birthday photoshoot. 

I also manage my son business who is a well-known Director. Which we work sometimes together on some projects that makes it much more fun. 

Staying current and experimenting on new ideas so my clients get the best work from me. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely, there are always challenges along the way but that allows growth in the process. Model industry can be a challenge but I got lucky and started with some well-known companies like Next Agency and Wilhelmina which allowed me to work with designers and their collections. 

Regardless of what I was doing I would always bring my son and he would watch for hours while I was on a photoshoot. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Photography Services I provided to realtors, models, wedding, birthdays. I also manage talent. My specialty is portraits, love to create unforgettable shoots. What sets me apart from other is being a female. I go to many events and its male dominated. Also just being aware of what my client needs are or what they don’t have yet but I find that will make them stand out. 

Kellysphotoagency work is also on display at the Fort Lauderdale airport between terminal 3 & 4. Some of my proud moments. 

We offer a range of services boudoir, weddings, headshots, model portfolio. Realtors properties, special events. 

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories was being in New York in the summer and playing with the water from the fire hydrant. I just found it so amazing
