Jonathan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My love for music began with Motown then grew to all genres. It really began at a very early age 10. Most of my youth and teenage years, you would find me with a set of headphones on. I even slept with the radio playing. I don’t remember a time where I didn’t have some sort of tune playing in my head in those days.

I started DJing as a teenager playing mostly private parties basement parties and family gatherings in Detroit Michigan.

My professional DJ career began in the late 90s where I began playing night clubs bars and social gatherings. Playing to a diverse crowed helped me realize the importance of mixing music and genres together to keep everyone interested and involved in whatever celebration was happening.

To date I’ve been able to perform for nearly a thousand weddings, and countless bar and social events. I’ve even played for the Governor of the wonderful state of Michigan. My love for music and entertaining has grown into an obsession. I strive to deliver an unforgettable performance each time I have the opportunity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The path hasn’t always been easy, but that’s what adds to the thrill! I’ve encountered obstacles like cutting through the clutter in a crowded industry and remaining authentic to my distinctive style while adapting to new trends. Every challenge has strengthened my resilience and sparked my creativity, encouraging me to innovate and forge deeper connections with my audience. It’s all part of the journey, and I wouldn’t change a thing!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is the value of humility and the importance of considering others. Staying grounded helps me connect with my clients and understand their needs better. I’ve also come to realize that family and love are everything; they provide the support and motivation that fuel my passion. Balancing ambition with genuine care for the people around me has shaped not only my career but my life as a whole. This perspective keeps me focused on what truly matters, both on and off the stage.
