Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerry Robinson

Hi Jerry, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my business journey at the age of 12 when my brother and I purchased 75 chickens and established a weekly delivery route, handling sales, logistics, and customer relationships. This early experience taught me the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including financial management, operations, and customer service.

Building on that foundation, my family later acquired a pizzeria, where I worked for nine years. During that time, I spent seven years as the manager, overseeing daily operations, streamlining workflows, optimizing costs, and driving business growth. I played a key role in expanding the pizzeria’s customer base, improving profitability, and enhancing overall efficiency.

Following this, I transitioned into my current role of General Manager at Launch Family Entertainment – Lansing, where I lead a large team, managed complex operations, and focused on revenue growth, customer engagement, and staff development. My experience across different industries has given me a strong foundation in business leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning. I continue to grow my skill set and look forward to continue working with Launch Family Entertainment for years to come!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Progress often comes with obstacles, and the answer is frequently “no.” However, I have learned that setbacks should never define the outcome. Through my determination, resilience, and confidence, I have continuously pushed forward, overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities. My ability to adapt, persevere, and stay focused on my goals has been instrumental in shaping my journey and achieving success.

I specialize in coaching employees to be the best they can and expanding our business! One accomplishment I’m proud of is working with a number of local schools to create partnerships that include field trips, fundraisers, donations throughout the year, attending local events schools host, and so much more! One thing I believe that sets Launch Lansing apart from many businesses is our attention to detail; from making sure our events & party’s are perfect, to ensuring a safe and clean environment for kids and adults to hang out and play!

What makes you happy?
From a work perspective I gain joy and happiness from watching our employees learn the life skills they need in order to succeed in future roles! From a personal side, I gain joy and happiness from my beautiful wife, Maddie, spending time golfing, and traveling – especially to tropical islands (my favorite is St.Lucia)!
