Community Highlights: Meet Jasmine Turner of Social Guru 4 You

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Turner.

Hi Jasmine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Being born and raised in Northern Michigan, our local community means the world to us. We both always knew we wanted to establish roots here and raise our families here, little did we know we would start a business here that we love and adore.

With my background in design and content creation, and Kalley’s background in customer service and social media management, I had never been more sure of anything in my life that creating Social Guru 4 You was the right path.

We first started Social Guru 4 You because we saw a huge need in our community for local businesses to leverage the power of social media for both revenue generation and online brand awareness. Being raised in one of the top tourist areas in the country, creating sustainable business throughout the year is not always an easy task, and we saw a way to fill a major void in our community. Heck, if a local business can generate income 12 months out of the year, we want to make that possible, and if we can help them do this by creating a beautiful, cohesive, consistent digital brand experience and presence, it’s a win-win for everyone. And better yet, we get to do what we love to do every single day.

When my business partner and myself first started SG4Y we were working full-time jobs here locally doing in-house marketing, content creation, social management, and graphic design for local businesses. We then, after building our clientele base after the first 12 months, both quit our jobs on October 1st, 2021, diving into the unknowns of owning a business. Fast forward to today, we now have launched many successful businesses from brand design to full launch, manage 65 social media accounts across the US, and have a dream team that is consistently growing with the hopes of having our second Guru location open by the end of this year in Naples, Florida where we will begin to expand into another tourist town and repeat the success we have had here locally. In the creation phase, we put our brains together and created a list of things we were passionate about, things that motivated us, things that we were talented at, and of course, what could we provide as value, and thus Social Guru 4 You was born.

Our passion is working with businesses to create digital brand experiences that generate revenue and boost business by sharing brand stories via social media. From idea to execution, we do it all.

Our client base ranges from small business owners and entrepreneurs to authors and large corporations and are able to do so because we pride ourselves in becoming an extension of our client’s brand, rather than an outsource. Meaning, we do the due diligence on each business we work with, the services or goods they offer, their brand, their brand story, their morals, and the list just keeps going. Why do we do this? In order to provide our clients with the best possible results, we must first take a deep dive into who they are, and what their objectives are. After this, we can then create a strategy that aligns with these objectives. This strategy an alone has helped us build this business to where it is today. We are proud to say we have generated over 1.3 million dollars for our clients simply by using our proven social media and digital marketing strategies and look forward to continuing this trend across the US into expanding areas with our Guru network.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life is a smooth road. However, you can make it smoother each day that goes by and do your best along the way. And this is how we handle challenges here at SG4Y.

Little did we know that 5 months into starting our business, we would be faced with a pandemic and a complete lockdown. During this time, we took a different approach to what everyone else was doing and really honed in on how we can help our community during these times, and to our benefit businesses were looking to go online more than ever due to the circumstances.

Another obstacle we faced was learning how to create a work culture that people want to come work for. In today’s society it is so important to put your team and their needs first. One approach we have taken is investing in our people, showing them their value, and giving them opportunities to grow and succeed within Guru.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Social Guru 4 You?
“Building brands and building dreams.” This is our motto. We are a full-service digital marketing firm that specializes in content creation and social media management. This umbrellas a plethora of services that we use to help create, launch, and maintain a strong brand presence both locally, and in the digital realm.

What sets us apart from our competition is that we don’t do things the cookie-cutter way. When we take on a client or a project, we go all-in. We treat that business as if it were our own and always take the extra mile, no matter what. We built our business by proving ourselves time and time again and gaining recognition for the work we had done. We truly believe our work speaks for itself.

From logo design and brand design to website development and social launch, our team handles it all. We like to say that if you come to us with a business idea, we can bring it to life. Guaranteed.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to us is 100% our team, their needs, and how we can help them be successful. When our team is successful, we are successful. And we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.
