Community Highlights: Meet Jamie Krueger of Spark & Soul Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Krueger.

Hi Jamie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
If you had met me years ago, you probably would have thought I had it all together.

I had a successful career in marketing. I was always busy, always saying yes and always taking care of everyone else. But behind the scenes, I was exhausted.

Looking back, I can see that many of those patterns started long before adulthood. Growing up around addiction, chaos and uncertainty, I learned to put everyone else’s needs before my own. I became hyperaware of other people’s emotions, constantly trying to keep the peace and believing my value came from what I could do for others.

That belief followed me into adulthood.

I wore being busy like a badge of honor. I pushed through stress, ignored what my body was trying to tell me and kept believing that once I reached the next goal, I’d finally feel happy.

Instead, I found myself burned out, anxious and completely disconnected from who I really was.

Life has a way of waking us up.

After experiencing several major life events—including a double mastectomy, becoming a single mom, making the difficult decision to leave the career I had built over nine years and then losing my dad—I found myself carrying more than I ever imagined.

It forced me to stop and ask myself a question I’d been avoiding for years:

Is this really how I want to live?

The answer was no.

I knew something had to change.

Desperate for answers, I immersed myself in studying the mind, the nervous system, neuroscience, habits and the incredible connection between our thoughts, emotions and the life we create. For the past eight years, I’ve dedicated myself to understanding why we do what we do and, more importantly, how we can change it.

I realized I wasn’t broken—I was living from subconscious patterns and beliefs that had been shaping my life for years. Once I understood that those patterns could be changed, everything began to shift.

That journey inspired me to become a certified life coach and create Spark & Soul Coaching.

Today, I help individuals and organizations create lasting change through coaching, workshops, speaking engagements and my weekly radio show, The Morning Shift. Whether someone is feeling burned out, stuck, navigating a life transition or simply ready to grow, my mission is to help them better understand themselves so they can create a life they genuinely enjoy.

I truly believe that no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve experienced, you are not stuck. We all have the ability to rewrite the patterns that no longer serve us and create a life that feels more peaceful, more fulfilling and more aligned with who we really are.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. While there have been challenges in building a business, the biggest obstacles weren’t external—they were internal.

For years, I struggled with people-pleasing, self-doubt and believing my worth was tied to how much I could accomplish. Even after becoming a coach, I had to work through the fear of being visible, wondering if I was enough and questioning whether I was truly capable of helping others.

Financial uncertainty has also been part of my journey. Growing up, I watched my dad work incredibly hard to run his own business, and I saw firsthand the stress and uncertainty that often came with it. Without realizing it, I carried many of those beliefs into adulthood—believing money had to be hard, success required sacrifice and my worth was tied to how much I produced.

One of the greatest gifts of this work has been recognizing those patterns and choosing to rewrite them. I still have days when old fears or limiting beliefs surface, and I’m still learning and growing myself. I don’t believe personal growth is something we ever “arrive” at—it’s a lifelong journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Spark & Soul Coaching ?
Spark & Soul Coaching was created from the belief that lasting change starts from the inside out.

I work with individuals, teams and organizations who are ready for something different—whether they’re experiencing burnout, navigating a major life transition, looking for a reset or simply wanting to grow into the next version of themselves.

Through one-on-one coaching, workshops, speaking engagements, wellness events and my weekly radio show, The Morning Shift, I help people better understand themselves so they can create meaningful, lasting change.

What sets my approach apart is my ability to take topics like the subconscious mind, nervous system regulation, neuroscience and habit change—which can often feel overwhelming—and make them practical, relatable and easy to apply in everyday life. When people understand why they think, feel and respond the way they do, they’re no longer fighting themselves. They begin creating change with greater awareness and intention.

I’m especially proud of the impact this work is having in our local community. Whether I’m partnering with schools, nonprofits, healthcare organizations or working one-on-one with clients, my goal is always the same: to leave people feeling more hopeful, empowered and equipped with tools they can use long after our time together.

At the heart of Spark & Soul Coaching is one simple belief: you are not broken, and you are not stuck. No matter where you are today, you have the ability to rewrite old patterns, create new possibilities and build a life you genuinely enjoy.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I don’t think there’s one right or wrong way to find a mentor because everyone learns differently.

There are so many incredible people with different experiences, perspectives and knowledge to share. My advice is to find people who align with where you’re going and who genuinely resonate with you. Pay attention to how you feel when you’re around them. Do they inspire you? Challenge you? Make you feel supported?

I’ve had conversations with mentors and coaches who were incredibly knowledgeable, but we just didn’t click—and that’s okay. I’ve also met people who immediately felt like the right fit. Don’t be afraid to trust your instincts.

I believe we can learn something from almost everyone. Read books, listen to podcasts, attend workshops and stay curious. Take what resonates, leave the rest and remember that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

The same goes for networking. Some of my greatest opportunities didn’t come from formal networking events—they came from building genuine relationships, showing up consistently and leading with kindness. People do business with people they know, like and trust. Focus on creating authentic connections instead of trying to impress people, and the opportunities will often follow.
