Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Honestly, my story starts with being a wild teen — lost, searching, and trying to fill a void. I didn’t know who I was or what my purpose was. Although my father was present in the home, he was emotionally absent, and as an only child without siblings, I often felt isolated and unseen. That emptiness led me to search for belonging in the wrong places. I started hanging with the wrong crowd and making choices that didn’t reflect who I truly was — all in an attempt to fill a void and feel connected.

But every part of that journey led me to where I am today. Now, I dedicate my life to empowering young women to discover who they are, find their voice, and walk boldly in their purpose. I want them to know they don’t have to wait until adulthood to change their lives. They are already enough — unique, fearfully and wonderfully made. I’m here to help them realize that they don’t have to change who they are to be accepted — they can show up as their full, authentic selves and still thrive.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the biggest challenges and obstacles I’ve faced have been internal — self-doubt, uncertainty, and not recognizing the power and potential within myself. For a long time, I struggled with low self-esteem and a deep sense of being lost. Those struggles led me through difficult seasons of depression, suicidal thoughts, and even the pain of going through — and almost losing — my marriage. I often felt unworthy and incapable of fulfilling any greater purpose.

But what made the difference was the community around me — supportive “forward” friends, an incredible pastor, and a strong, loving mother. With their encouragement, and through my faith in God, I began to rebuild. I found the courage to step into the calling on my life: to help young women understand that they are not alone in their struggles, that their past doesn’t define them, and that there is power in embracing who they truly are. Today, I pour into them what was once poured into me — through God’s word, wisdom, and unwavering support.

Classy Chick Chat is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring and empowering next-generation girl leaders ages 11 to 25. We create safe, supportive spaces where young women can grow in confidence, discover their identity, strengthen their faith, and develop essential life and leadership skills.

We specialize in mentorship programs, leadership workshops, community events, and our signature Authentic Beauty Conference and Grow & Glow Summer Camp. Through these initiatives, we tackle real-life topics that matter — from self-love and friendships to purpose, mental health, and entrepreneurship. We also provide ongoing monthly meetups, like Classy Conversations, where girls can gather for uplifting dialogue, sisterhood, and spiritual development.

What sets us apart is our authenticity. We don’t just focus on surface-level empowerment — we get to the heart of who these girls are, helping them heal, grow, and lead from a place of wholeness. We meet them where they are and guide them toward where they’re destined to be.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the mentorship and youth development space evolving in powerful ways — especially for young women. There’s a growing demand for programs that not only empower but also provide practical tools for mental health, entrepreneurship, leadership, and faith-based personal development. Girls today are facing more pressures than ever, and they’re craving authenticity, safe spaces, and real guidance.

At Classy Chick Chat, we’re leaning into that need. I see us expanding into schools nationwide, building a network of certified mentors, launching leadership academies, and offering digital resources so we can reach girls beyond our local community. I also envision us hosting large-scale conferences, publishing curriculum, and partnering with brands and organizations that believe in raising up the next generation of confident, purpose-driven women.

The industry is shifting toward holistic, culturally relevant, and faith-integrated programming — and Classy Chick Chat is positioned to lead that shift. We’re not just preparing girls for the world — we’re preparing them to change it.
