Community Highlights: Meet Brian Town of Michigan Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Town. 

Hi Brian, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Right after college, I started working with a school district helping kids learn video production. My first full-time job a year later I was in charge of a brand-new TV studio and a high school television production teacher. 13 years later I decided to start a company and Michigan Creative was born. Here we are 11 years after that with 20 full-time employees and serving clients all over the country. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ha…no. Always challenges. I had never run a business before…I started in a small office in East Lansing…and decided to be a full-service marketing firm. We hired our first part-time employee after about a year. 

As you know, we’re big fans of Michigan Creative. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a creative marketing agency that focuses on listening, problem-solving, and creating. As leaders, solving problems has become second nature to us. We value innovation and quality work, and that’s what shows in the work we do at Michigan Creative. 

We’re real, down-to-earth creatives who expect the best from our team, our clients, and ourselves. We do our best to ensure that everyone we come in contact with has a better day because of it. 

All of our work is done in-house by a team you can trust with your brand. We work with businesses small and large on marketing, branding, graphic design, and advertising to all facets of video production, animation, web, mobile, social media, and more.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I was a high school teacher. One of my first students has been with me at MC for 9 years.
