Community Highlights: Meet Alendrea Dantzler of Branded AD, Incorporated

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alendrea Dantzler. 

Hi Alendrea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey there! My name is Alendrea Dantzler and I am an entrepreneur and business influencer! I am super excited to be here and to talk a little bit more about my story. My story really begins at 14. I was in the 10th grade and I had just gotten started as a dual enrollment student at Davenport University. I always loved the idea of business, my mom ran an extremely successful business, and I was constantly in the atmosphere of entrepreneurship. That year, I decided to open up The Sweetest Degree, a bakery that specializes in gourmet cupcakes and sweets. I catered birthday parties, graduations, weddings, and anniversaries, all while in high school and completing college classes. 

Fast forward to 2020, the year that changed everyone’s life. I was graduating with my Bachelor’s in Marketing and Networking Technology, yet was also getting sent home for an unknown virus that was plaguing the world. At the time, it felt like everything was crashing down and the world stopped, I, however, kept going. I opened up YAE (You Are Enough) Cosmetics. A clean, luxury beauty brand for individuals who had sensitive skin like me, and were insecure about their looks and overall well-being. YAE promotes positive affirmations with every product title, ensuring that everyone that uses them is reminded that they are enough! 

Today, I run 5 successful businesses, a bakery, a beauty brand, a marketing firm for small businesses, co-own an annual black-owned expo, and co-own a customs apparel line. I am excited to be graduating with my Master’s degree at Davenport in Marketing and Business Administration, and to organically grow my businesses into something that will create a lasting impact on the world! 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been an easy road to the present. It took a lot of long nights, sacrifice, and dedication to my passions to turn them into what they are today. My support system is the largest group to credit for my success. They constantly push me to become a better me every day and want to level up in every way possible. 

Having businesses in a fully saturated industry is tough, it seems that everyone is doing the same thing, marketing the same way, and it’s hard to stand out against the rest. My goal isn’t JUST to stand out but to make you FEEL love and positivity when you experience anything that comes from me. One of my biggest struggles is to have the motivation to push through the smaller obstacles my businesses encounter. My team and I work to ease these challenges by remembering why we are here and what we come to do. 

As you know, we’re big fans of Branded AD, Incorporated. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Branded AD is my home, my marketing firm for small businesses. I provide consultations, design, printing, and coaching through the stages a small business owner experiences on their journey of entrepreneurship. This is really where my creativity and ideas come to thrive because we are able to take a few words or a concept and bring it to life! What sets me apart from others is truly the experience my clients receive. They know that they are in good hands and that they will receive top-notch quality because they see my quality of work in my own businesses. 

I am super proud of my brand overall. It truly shows my growth as a business owner as I build up my empire. The village that raised me into the entrepreneur that I am could never receive enough thanks because of their patience and sacrifice in working with me. However, I am forever grateful to them and my prayer is that we as a collective can prosper together. 

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
For my success, I think that dedication, hard work, persistence, and resilience are all important. These qualities are what make me invincible when it comes to my work and businesses.
