Check Out Vanessa Brown’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Brown

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My twin sister and I lost our grandmother last year and we wanted to get a charm with her finger print on it. We saw on a show where someone got a permanent bracelet and thought putting the two together would be a great and fun idea. While doing research for a store to go to that would offer the service we weren’t able to find a place that was near to our area. So we decided to go into business together and offer permanent jewelry and that is how we created Forever EnTWINed!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. While we are one of a few that offer permanent jewelry there are always new businesses popping up. It has been hard to get our name out there and make sure people know that we offer the service and being that the idea of permanent jewelry is still pretty new many don’t know what it is or what it means.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My twin sister and I have a permanent jewelry business called Forever EnTWINed. We create bracelets, anklets, and rings that embody effortless elegance. Crafted to be weightless, these pieces liberate you from clasps, offering a seamless adornment experience. I am most proud that we are doing this business together which helps to bring us closer. What sets us apart from others is not only are we a minority owned, female owned business we are also identical twins!

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes I have learned to always have a back up plan. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and when Covid-19 happened all the salons shut down. I had to pivot and figure out what else I could do while still making an income.
