Check Out The Briar Payne Band’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Briar Payne Band.

Hi The Briar Payne Band, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
About four years ago we decided to start a band, we got together to play a few songs at the blessing of the bikes in Baldwin, Mi. We didn’t even have a name yet, that was our first gig together

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We went through several bass players before we found Ryan and we are lucky to have him. We started without a keyboard player, we couldn’t find one so Jim’s youngest son and Briars little brother Max decided to start playing, he joined the band after only playing a few months and has been an asset.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Ryan Slagle is the bass player and vocals, Mike Sagers is the drummer, Briar Payne is guitarist and main vocals, Max Payne is the keyboardist and vocals, Jim Payne is guitarist, vocals, songwriter, Nick Nelson is our sound specialist. We specialize in classic rock from the 60’s-70’s as well as our own original music including Mother’s Medication, Money Show, Rosita & I Freed the Freak. We are a jam band with a wide range of ages.. 17 years-70 years

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Because we are in a remote area we have to hit the road and talk to people. We get to know other local bands and promote for each-other..
