Check Out Taj Pittman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taj Pittman.

Hi Taj, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a love for music, my first artists that i was directly and indirectly introduced to was lil Wayne and Michael Jackson by my dad

i was in band in school i played the clarinet and the drums, growing up where i did i was introduced to a lot of different music

When i got to high school i started working small jobs just to get some money in my pocket; i met some friends on the bus, all 6 of us clicked, we would sing and freestyle on the bus, i found out these guys make music and that’s how i got introduced to the actual production of music

I graduated during covid and that’s where i was able to use that money from working to start my music career, i completed 9 projects and start the formation of my personal label/Brand RALEEPOINT

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m never gonna say my life was hard or that i grew up struggling, that would be disrespectful to both of my parents, my mother and father provided me an amazing life, my father passed away when i was 5 and that defiantly had an effect on me but mother as a single parent taking care of two kids gave me and my sister a great upbringing

two year after i graduated 2022 i started to have seizures and that gave me a different out look on life

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an independent artist, songwriter, and creative focused on bringing together Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rock in a way that feels authentic to me. I’m hands-on with my music—from writing and recording to developing my sound, visuals, branding, and the overall vision behind my projects.

I’m most proud of building my own lane and continuing to create even when I didn’t have a major team or big budget behind me. A lot of my music comes from real experiences, emotions, memories, and stories that people can relate to, while still giving them something they can vibe to.

What sets me apart is that I’m not just trying to be an artist—I’m building a brand and learning every side of the business. I care about the music, but I also care about the creative direction, technology, business, and how everything connects. I’m always looking for ways to improve, experiment, and create something that feels like **me** rather than simply following what everyone else is doing.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
my mother of course
Lisa the DJ – she help with giving me some of her music equipment
