Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The Heart Behind Beautifully Created 2.0
Beautifully Created 2.0 was born out of a need to create a safe and empowering space for women who have been suffering in silence—women who have experienced painful circumstances, endured difficult seasons, and carried stories they never had the opportunity, language, or courage to share.
The vision became deeply personal following the passing of my sister. She experienced and endured a great deal throughout her life. Unfortunately, she passed away before she had the opportunity to fully speak about what she had experienced, process the pain she carried, and begin the healing she deserved. Her story became a reminder that too many women are carrying unspoken pain, unresolved experiences, disappointments, insecurities, and trauma inwardly.
That realization lit a fire in me.
Beautifully Created 2.0 was created to give women a platform to speak their truth, tell their stories, process their experiences, and discover that what happened to them does not have to define who they become.
Our mission is centered on transforming, cultivating, and shifting the mind toward positive inner beauty. We believe true transformation begins from within. It is not simply about how a woman looks on the outside; it is about how she sees herself, speaks to herself, values herself, and understands her own worth.
Through education, empowerment, self-reflection, healing-centered conversations, and intentional personal development, Beautifully Created 2.0 encourages women to strengthen their self-awareness, self-love, self-worth, confidence, and self-image.
We recognize that tragic experiences, failures, disappointments, rejection, and insecurities can leave lasting impressions on how women see themselves and navigate the world. Our goal is to help women identify those internal wounds, challenge the beliefs that developed from them, and begin creating a healthier narrative for their lives.
Beautifully Created 2.0 exists because every woman deserves an opportunity to tell her story—not simply to revisit what happened, but to understand it, process it, heal from it, and discover who she is beyond it.
We believe a woman should never have to leave this world with her story trapped inside her.
Her voice matters.
Her story matters.
Her healing matters.
And she is beautifully created 2
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The Journey Has Not Been Easy
The road to building Beautifully Created 2.0 has not been a smooth one. There have been seasons of uncertainty, financial challenges, setbacks, and moments when continuing felt incredibly difficult.
Much of the organization’s work has been sustained through funding generated from my own book sales, out-of-pocket contributions from myself and members of my board, and the willingness of people who believed enough in the vision to invest their time, resources, and energy.
We have also experienced people coming and going from the organization. Leadership changes, transitions, and unexpected circumstances have required us to adjust, restructure, and sometimes simply figure things out as we went. But through every transition, we kept moving forward.
There have absolutely been days when I had to stop, pray, and ask God for a sign.
I have asked, “God, am I supposed to keep doing this? Is this really what You called me to do?”
And somehow, every time, He has made a way.
A door would open. A resource would come through. A person would show up at the right time. An opportunity would present itself. A woman would share how something we did impacted her. And I would be reminded that this work is bigger than the challenges we face behind the scenes.
That is what has kept me going.
Beautifully Created 2.0 may not have had unlimited resources, a perfect team, or an easy road—but we have had vision, faith, determination, and purpose.
And after every obstacle, we have continued to see evidence that the work is real.
The impact is real.
The women are real.
The stories are real.
And the transformation we are working toward is real.
I have learned that sometimes you don’t need to have everything figured out before you move forward. Sometimes you simply need enough faith to take the next step.
Beautifully Created 2.0 has survived because we refused to allow limited resources, changing circumstances, disappointment, or difficult seasons to become the end of the story.
We kept building.
We kept believing.
We kept serving.
And most importantly, we kept showing up.
Because when the vision is connected to purpose, the obstacles may change the strategy—but they don’t have to change the mission.

I am Shaloria Michaela, also known as The Healing Guru, a healer, author, speaker, entrepreneur, Reiki Practitioner, podcast producer, and CEO & Founder of Beautifully Created 2.0, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to empowering women and helping them transform from the inside out.
My work sits at the intersection of healing, mental health, empowerment, self-worth, advocacy, and personal transformation. I have spent more than 15 years working in spaces centered around healing, restoration, education, and helping individuals recognize their value beyond the circumstances they have experienced.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cornerstone University and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while also pursuing Marriage and Family Therapy. Upon graduation, I intend to obtain a dual license, allowing me to serve individuals, couples, and families from both individual mental health and relational perspectives.
My professional experience includes HIV prevention and education, testing, and medical case management. These experiences have allowed me to work directly with individuals navigating complex life experiences, health disparities, trauma, relationships, and barriers to care. They have reinforced my belief that people often need more than resources—they need to feel heard, seen, respected, and empowered.
As The Healing Guru, I am a Reiki Practitioner whose work focuses on Reiki Energy Healing, chakra balancing, aura cleansing, energy clearing, guided meditation, and grounding techniques. My approach to healing is centered on creating intentional space for individuals to reconnect with themselves, become more aware of what is happening within, and begin releasing what no longer serves them.
I am also an author and speaker, using my voice to facilitate honest conversations around healing, self-love, confidence, self-worth, trauma, relationships, resilience, and personal growth. I believe some of the most transformative conversations happen when people are willing to tell the truth about what they have survived.
That belief has also led to my newest media venture, H.E.R. — Healing Everything Revealed Podcast.
H.E.R. was created as a platform for authentic conversations about the things women and others often experience but don’t always feel safe enough to discuss. Through storytelling, transparency, and meaningful conversations, H.E.R. creates room for people to reveal what has been hidden, explore what needs healing, and recognize that there is power in telling their story.
The heart behind both Beautifully Created 2.0 and H.E.R. is deeply personal. Beautifully Created 2.0 was inspired in part by the passing of my sister, who experienced and endured a great deal but passed away before she had the opportunity to fully tell her story, process what she had experienced, and begin the healing she deserved. Her life and passing became a catalyst for me to create spaces where women could speak, share, process, grow, and heal.
I am most proud of the fact that I kept going.
Beautifully Created 2.0 was not built with unlimited funding or perfect circumstances. There have been seasons when I personally invested money, used proceeds from my book sales, and relied on the support of my board to keep the vision moving. People have come and gone, circumstances have changed, and there have been moments when I questioned whether I should continue. But every time, somehow, a door opened, a resource appeared, or someone shared how our work had impacted their life—and I was reminded that the mission was bigger than the obstacles.
What sets me apart is that I don’t simply talk about healing—I create spaces where people can begin experiencing it.
I bring together my background in psychology, my clinical counseling education, my pursuit of Marriage and Family Therapy, my experience in community health and advocacy, my work as a Reiki Practitioner, and my experience as an author, speaker, entrepreneur, and media producer.
I understand that healing is not one-dimensional.
Sometimes healing requires a conversation.
Sometimes it requires professional counseling.
Sometimes it requires community.
Sometimes it requires telling a story that has been buried for years.
Sometimes it requires learning how to love yourself again.
And sometimes, it requires all of those things.
I don’t believe in putting people into boxes. I believe in meeting people where they are while helping them see where they can go.
My work is about helping people understand that their experiences may be part of their story, but they do not have to become the definition of who they are.
Ultimately, I am known for creating spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest, courageous enough to face themselves, and empowered enough to believe that transformation is possible.
My greatest accomplishment isn’t a title, degree, organization, podcast, book, or business.
It is knowing that something I created, something I said, or simply the space I held for someone helped them see themselves differently.
That is the work. That is the purpose. And that is what I am most proud of.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Who Deserves Credit for My Success?
First, and not to sound egotistical, I have to give credit to **myself**
I have had to do some hard work on me to become the woman, leader, healer, and entrepreneur I am today. My growth has required me to become more self-aware, hold myself accountable, confront things within myself that needed to change, and make the necessary changes—even when those changes were uncomfortable. I had to learn that healing is not just about what happened to me; it is also about taking responsibility for what I do with what happened to me. That internal work has been one of the greatest investments I have ever made.
But I would never say I did it alone.
I give honor to my **angels—my grandmother and grandfather**, who gave me roots. They taught me the importance of spirituality, culture, good food, love, family, and knowing where you come from. So much of who I am today is connected to what they poured into me.
My sister, **Tasha Blackmon**, has been a real-time example of what it means to be a woman in every aspect. Her presence, strength, and example have contributed to how I understand womanhood, resilience, and the many roles women carry.
My fiancé, **Percy Moody Jr.,**, deserves tremendous credit as well. He has been my best friend, my covering, and someone whose leadership and wisdom have challenged and supported me. Having someone who can speak truth, offer perspective, encourage me, and stand beside me has been invaluable.
My Dad and Masonic brother, **Michael Weaver**, has shown me the wisdom and support that comes from a father’s love for his daughter. His presence has reminded me that leadership doesn’t always have to be loud.. Sometimes it looks like wisdom, protection, encouragement, and simply being there.
I also want to give a heavenly thank-you to **Pastor Nathaniel Wells Jr. * He was someone who spoke life into me. He saw something in me that I was still learning to see in myself. He recognized the favor over my life and believed that I was chosen by God for a purpose. His words and belief in me became part of the foundation that encouraged me to keep walking in my calling
I cannot talk about Beautifully Created 2.0 without acknowledging **Ebony Betts -Jones, President of Beautifully Created 2.0 Ebony has been by my side since the revamp of the organization., She has been willing to learn, grow, adjust, and navigate the journey with me.,Building an organization is not easy, and having someone willing to grow alongside you through the highs, lows, changes, and challenges matters tremendously.,
Then there are **my sisters/friends—those who know who they are* Some have encouraged me through conversations, prayers, laughter, honesty, and simply reminding me who I am when I needed the reminder.,
I also give credit to women I have encountered through the **National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. The Order of the Eastern Star, Professor, managers, supervisors, and coworkers, organizations, etc. throughout my professional journey*. Some may not even realize the impact they have had. Every experience has taught me something—about leadership, professionalism, people, resilience, service, and sometimes even what *not* to do All of it has been part of the education
I have also found inspiration in women in the public eye and celebrity women who have demonstrated strength, creativity, entrepreneurship, courage, and the ability to reinvent themselves Sometimes inspiration comes from people who don’t know you personally but whose journey gives you permission to think bigger
And finally, I give credit to the **women and people we serve
They are not simply clients, participants, or people who attend our programs They are part of the reason I continue to do this work Their stories, transparency, vulnerability, resilience, and willingness to show up remind me why Beautifully Created 2.0 exists in the first place.
Every person I have mentioned has played a different role. Some gave me roots\. Some gave me love. Some gave me wisdom. Some challenged me. Some prayed for me Some believed in me. Some worked beside me. Some simply showed up at the right moment
And some taught me lessons through their absence
I believe all of it matters
My journey has taught me that **success is personal, but it is never truly accomplished alone* I had to do the work within myself, but God strategically placed people along the road who helped me become who I was always meant to be
So I honor them
The ones who stood beside me
The ones who spoke life into me
The ones who prayed for me
The ones who challenged me
The ones who believed in me before I fully believed in myself
And the ones who helped me understand that the woman I was becoming was already beautifully created
