Check Out Sarah Hedeman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Hedeman

Hi Sarah , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
~FRNG~
“Timeless style for the modern cowgirl”

As a lifelong equestrian, leather has been an essential part of my story. In my free time, you can find my on the polo field with my ponies, Hershey, Novia and Nina!
I began working with leather a few years ago, making custom belt straps. Through exploration I began to find other creative avenues using leather. Each piece is designed, created, cut and sewn by me, with love.
The movement and flair of fringe gives apparel and bags a fun, flirty effect.
All of my bags and apparel are 100% handmade from start to finish and thoughtfully purchased as sustainable, by-products.
They are of the highest quality Brazilian cowhides.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am a self taught designer and thus FRNG was born out of trial and error. From design to completion each and every piece is unique and made with love.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a happily, busy, married mom of two, young adult children. I work full-time in a career I find very fulfilling. We have 3 dogs, a cat and 3 horses. FRNG fills in my free-time as a way to relax, express other sides of myself.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
With FRNG being a form of self expression and what I love, the work is up for interpretation of the buyer. It took courage to put myself out there. Through feedback and repeat customers I have gained confidence in my work. I have been asked to participate in pop-up shows and have learned to love and relax the experience.
