Today, we’d like to introduce you to Riley Clark and Trevor Jensen.
Hi Riley and Trevor, can you introduce yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Our names are Riley and Trevor. Our story started over a decade ago when we met at a Drop-In Hockey Game. We later would become teammates playing college hockey for the local Community College and became more acquainted, and that started a lasting friendship. Then we worked at the same car dealership and would take breaks talking about ghosts, bigfoot, aliens, and everything that goes bump in the night.
In 2019, we talked about how to talk about these things that go bump on a podcast and see where it takes us. Later that day, we had our show’s identity, What Goes Bump In The Night. We then bought a microphone and watched YouTube videos to learn how to use audacity. Then, we recorded our 1st episode. We have now almost eclipsed 200 Episodes.
What Goes Bump In The Night started with us having our friends and family come over and tell ghost stories, to diving into all of the crazy topics of the Paranormal, Aliens and UFOs, the Black Vault Files to Creepy pastas, True Crime and even writing our own short creepy pastas and sharing them with our Night Crew. The moniker we have given our listeners.
Now, we have ventured into new forms of content, from being an audio-only show to having weekly Livestreams with amazing guests from all over the world telling some of the most fascinating and chilling stories we have ever heard.
We have now also started taking making videos of our paranormal investigations and releasing these documentary style videos to YouTube. Highlighting the ghost stories and history of the locations we search for proof of Life After Death. We have already had some intense and insane nights. On top of going to some of the Nations Most Haunted Locations.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, the struggles of the podcast have been pretty smooth. The hardest part was being consistent in recording, editing, and releasing episodes. Over time, we have developed systems of production that streamlined the processes for us.
This learning to adjust has helped us grow the show into what it has become today.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are known for our kindness and willing to accept everyone, and provide people a environment to speaking about personnel expectances that some might find mystical with no judgment.
Our greatest accomplishment is always to remain with our mission statement. To build a community like the Night Crew and allow them to have a place where they feel accepted among everyone. ” Never thought Id be in a position or have a platform where people I have never met look forward to tuning in weekly” – Trevor
“We are unapolictacily ourselves, wither we are on screen or in person” – Riley. That’s what sets us apart.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Just simplify being who we are. And respecting everyone that listens to our show and being greatly fully humbled by their support.
