Hi Practicing , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It was 2008, my grandmother passed away & my mother invested some of the money she received from my grandmother’s will & purchased me studio equipment.

And ever since then I’ve been LOCKED IN!

Before I was named “Practicing P” I was GCASH.

In 2017, I was led to stop making secular and to start making Christian Rap.

7years & 5 eps later, Practicing P is still releasing music & Visuals at a high level.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being an independent artist is a struggle within itself. Everything is on you, from the budget, to the recording to the videos, the marketing, bookings, EVERYTHING!

I had to take the good with the bad, plenty losses with a few Gains but everything was/is a learning experience.

I’ve learned that you can’t give up, NO MATTER WHAT. It all depends on how bad you want it.

One struggle that I had early on was learning how to balance family, music, and God.

There were times when I focused so much on music that I neglected my family, myself & God.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What do I do? Well I’m a Fraud Analyst for Bank Of America. We specialize in helping our customers protect their finances from fraud.

I’m known for my fast Call Handle Time & excellent problem solving skills.

I’m most proud of being able to help others protect their finances, while providing for mines at the same time. God is good!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have to give credit to William Wallace, met him at a Lecrae & 116 concert back in April 2022. He invited me to Word of Truth Family Church in Arlington,Texas. Pastor Eben Conner. 6months later I finally visited and he was there and remembered who I was.

A year from then, Pastor Polo (Worship Pastor) gave me an opportunity to be apart of the 90’s production they were doing.

I had the chance to write a verse to Kirk Franklin’s song revolution to bring a fresh vibe to the track and the production turned out GREAT!

So Thankful that he believed in me and gave me a shot to use my gift for the Lord with others.

Word of Truth Family Church has been the best thing that happened for me!
