Check Out Mariah Andrea Lynn’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariah Andrea Lynn.

Hi Mariah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey with the cosmetology field started when I was a little girl. Majority of my family on my father’s side are beauty professionals. I grew up in the salons and barbershops, going to grand hair shows and seeing the beauty of creating art with hair. I have always felt a natural calling to the industry, so it was no surprise when I decided to drop out of college to fuel my skills with hair. I hustled my way throughout beauty school and after. Keeping 3-4 jobs to stay sustainable until I was able to afford being a full-time cosmetologist. 6 years in the game and 2 years being self-employed, I have finally accomplished my goal!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Becoming self-employed, by far, was not easy. It took me years to learn the entrepreneurial & cosmetology world, and I am still learning! After graduating from getting my license, I had to hustle my way to the top. I always kept several jobs until I finally took a leap of faith to go full-time with hair. Starting out of my mom’s basement to working in my family’s salon almost working 7 days with my assistant, I am beyond grateful for my journey. No matter how big or how small

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in healthy hair! My main focus for my brand was helping women and men with steps inside and outside the salon to have a beautiful, healthy mane. I provide a number of different treatments and consultations to help target different ways to heal the hair. I also try my best to provide relaxing and healing services. Beauty services can get really expensive, so I want to make sure that clients feel their money is well spent. The services I enjoy the most are blowouts/silk-outs, color, updos, and extensions!

What makes you happy?
I really enjoy making people feel like their best selves, hence why my slogan is “making the world greater one head at a time.” I honestly feel that every time someone leaves my chair, I send them into the world ready to accomplish anything they put their mind to. I believe that there is some sort of healing when it comes to washing, replenishing, and beautifying someone’s hair. Also, being able to listen to each client’s story or situation and being able to be a vessel to them.

Pricing:

  • Silk Press starts at $75
  • Ponytails starts at $85
  • Color services starts at $185
