Hi lacey@backorchardbarn.com, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The Back Orchard Barn was built in 2023 and is located in the midst of farm fields and apple orchards at Leaman’s Green Applebarn in Freeland, MI. The Back Orchard Barn at Leaman’s Green Applebarn offers the perfect indoor and outdoor venue for weddings and other social gatherings. Enjoy the unforgettable beauty of its incredible rural landscape with ease of accessibility from the Great Lakes Bay Region.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road creating the Back Orchard Barn. There have been plenty of bumps, challenges, mistakes and lessons along the way. But you learn and grow from every step.

I’m known for remembering names of every couple that comes into the barn and when they are getting married.
I want every couple to feel like they are the only couple getting married at the barn. Weddings are this huge memory for the couple and families.
Most proud of the Back Orchard Staff. They are all so dedicated to the barn and the couples. The team here at the Back Orchard Barn goes above and beyond to make sure they day is amazing for each couple.
Sets me apart-My pure excitement/ZEST for each and every event that we have at the barn.
