Hi Kate , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am all about celebrations and creating memories through creating beautiful arts and crafts. I worked in business for over 20 years and gave it all up to start this business. I went to a Pinspiration Franchise in Kalamzaoo, MI and knew I wanted in. I researched the model, applied, interviewed and accepted the franchise in 2022. I then worked to secure commercial real estate, completed the build out and opened the studio in March of 2024. We have shared in so many birthdays, anniversaries, Girl’s nights out, team builders for work, you name it. The Splatter Room is an absolute riot and our DIY crafts are such a great way to get creative. We have so many projects for people of all ability levels. You should come see us to spend some time with your friend and family, off of your phone, making something magical!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No small business road is ever smooth. The biggest challenge we have is getting the word out. Everyone who comes in loves the space and the offerings, but we need more people to know who we are and what we do.

We are a DIY arts and crafts studio. We offer any craft at any time. So everyone in your group can do something different and leave with something they truely love. You’ll use all of our paints, tools and embellishments, and we clean up the mess. We also have a party room for all different types of celebrations. We host birthdays, team builders, chuch groups, girl scouts, etc. We are best known for our Splatter Room. This is one of a kind. We get you covered from head to to and let you sling paint. You’ll make amazing memories while creating a unique canvas painting. We are SO FUN!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have joined several Chambers of Commerce. These have been great to network and find resources.
