Check Out Justine Baker’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Baker. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Justine Baker

Justine Baker is an on-camera host, digital reporter and producer from Kalamazoo, MI but resided in Detroit for the past 5 years. She’s been with FOX Seattle since 2022.

Justine began her career in media as an on-air personality for award-winning radio station Power 96.5 while attending Michigan State University for her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism.

She’s a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists. Justine has taught social media influencing and branding strategies to businesses and followers online and through her book “Major Tips for the Micro-Influencer.”

Her talents inspired her to create and host FOX Seattle’s I’ve Been Influenced, a show where she chats with influential people influencers about their unique journeys and the strategies that helped them achieve stardom.

Off-camera, Justine enjoys cheering on the Detroit Lions, cooking, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and traveling. Her favorite travel experience thus far was a solo trip to Anchorage, Alaska, where she took a course on nature videography.

Justine was crowned Miss Black Washington, USA, in 2024.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I moved to Seattle from the West side of Detroit, over 2,339 miles, to a city I’ve never been to for an opportunity.

Along the way, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to host I’ve been on FOX 13 Seattle, become Miss Black Washington, and met incredible people.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a digital reporter, host, and producer for FOX 13 Seattle. I specialize in digital media, social media, and entertainment. I’m known for my interviews with prominent figures such as Seattle Seahawks player Darrell Taylor Jr., Grammy-award-winning artist Eric Bellinger, Love is Blind cast members, and major TikTokers like Dr. Anthony Youn, Daniel Mac, Vivian Tu (Your Rich BFF), and more.

I’m most proud of bridging generational gaps and communities through my interviews. I’m hosting a show where it’s an honest platform for sharing real-life stories of influencers and individuals having substantial sway over society. It’s a showcase of personal journeys that have the potential to inspire millions of viewers around the globe.

The show carries profound significance in the current digital age. As we are inundated with influencers and pioneers in various fields, understanding their journeys, and wins and losses can offer valuable insights for people aspiring to follow similar paths. Through my show, I bring these stories to the forefront, underlining the trials and tribulations encountered when they achieved fame.

What sets I’ve Been Influenced apart and fills me with pride is the authenticity of the content. The show digs deeper than surface-level narratives, capturing the essence of the individual behind the influence. Every episode is a testament to human perseverance, ambition, and the raw drive of genuine societal influencers.
