Check Out Juma Mounger’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juma Mounger.

Hi Juma, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began when I was just a little boy in class drawing my favorite cartoon characters. I knew then that art was my passion. By the time I was 13, I would become an asset to my brother’s music career. I knew I wanted to be a part of the creative process however I could. This led me to buy a camera and I would follow him wherever just documenting everything. Though I had cameras as a teen it wouldn’t be until I was 17 that I picked up my first professional camera. That lead me to shoot some of the most influential people today. From there my career has taken me to places I never knew it could take me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any road to success, there will be obstacles but it wouldn’t have gotten me this far in my career. There have been many times I have been stood up by clients and overlooked on projects. There have been many times I wanted to just quit like when my equipment was stolen out of my car costing me thousands of dollars. It felt like a setback but again I didn’t give up. I never let this hinder me from moving to the next level of my career.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
